Do you struggle with keyword research? I know I do. I can find keywords all day long. Most of what I find are just not good enough.
When I used Google’s keyword tool I trusted the results 100%. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. As it happens, they aren’t always accurate.
The results you see are not always correct, far from it. But it probably was at the time they put it together. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.
I decided to go for a keyword with about five thousand competing pages. I felt I could do well with that one. I started churning out articles by the bucket load.
Pretty soon I noticed over 9000 competitors. I was downhearted at this new revelation. Maybe it was going to be far more difficult than I imagined. It turned out that my articles were showing on these sites and ranking for the keyword.
The point I’m trying to get across is that had I looked at the keyword with 9000 competitors, I would have left it alone. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A good result all round in my opinion.
Not wanting to rely on luck every time I thought I’d try a keyword research service. I was looking to get some decent keywords delivered on a daily basis. I did a few calculations and came to the conclusion that research services, though not cheap, were value for my dollar.
There were a few to choose from but I went with Travis Sago and his Instacash service. After all, he’s the king of the bum marketers. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. An hour or two of my time is highly valuable to me when all I have is time. If I weigh the cost each day against my two hours work it clearly becomes value for money.
Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. And what I’m trying here is simply that. I’m simply outsourcing the job to a keyword research service.
If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. I also mention earlier about thousands of articles published for one keyword. I’ll let you into that little secret on my site.
